The San Francisco Department of Emergency Management issued an alert to the public to evacuate the mall and avoid the area. It’s unclear what the threat is.

There was a heavy police presence inside and outside the mall as the investigation continued. Locals reported that crime scene tape was posted at one of the mall’s entrances.

The San Francisco Fire Department is responding to the incident along with the San Francisco Fire Department.

Some reports claim this is a shooting incident, but as of now, it has not been confirmed whether shots were fired.
