RTO offers Marathi language courses to Maharashtra car drivers

Mumbai: Auto and taxi drivers who learn Marathi will be issued a state government certificate and will have to present it while renewing their driving licences, Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik said on Tuesday after meeting the heads of 59 RTOs across the country. Maharashtra.Sarnaik said the RTO will set up facilities for drivers who are willing to learn Marathi. The training will be conducted in association with Konkan Marathi Sahitya Parishad and Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangh.
