Past Reddit outages

Reddit was last down on Monday. This follows the shutdown of the platform on March 3, 2026, which affected thousands of users (about 82% of complaints) mainly through the app.

According to Down Detector, the outages peaked around 7 p.m. ET with about 6,869 reports; by 8:20 p.m. ET, the outages were mostly cleared and the number of reports dropped to 20 to none.

Another blackout occurred in January 2026, when the global power outage lasted for about an hour. According to Down Detector, more than 2,000 reports were received around 4 p.m. ET.

However, by 5 PM ET, the outage was restored, and Reddit had not released any official statement confirming the brief outage.
