Range Rover SUV seized in Nancy Guthrie case: ‘The trunk was sealed before being removed’

Video footage from the scene broadcast by local media channel KGUN 9 showed FBI agents and pima county As part of the expanded investigation into Guthrie’s disappearance, deputies photographed, searched and covered vehicles in the parking lot of a Culver’s restaurant about two miles from Guthrie’s residence.

A photographer at the scene said the SUV was searched and the trunk sealed before it was impounded, Newsweek reported.

The vehicle was found near a community that had been cordoned off by law enforcement earlier in the evening as part of an ongoing effort to determine Guthrie’s condition.

“Law enforcement activity is ongoing at a residence near East Orange Grove Road and North First Avenue in connection with the Guthrie case,” the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said shortly before midnight local time (2 a.m. ET) after news reports emerged. “As this is a joint investigation at the request of the FBI, no additional information is available at this time.”

Nancy Guthrie She was reported missing on February 1 and is believed to have been forcibly removed from her Tucson residence.

The FBI has increased the reward to $100,000 for any information that may lead to her whereabouts or arrest as investigators pursue leads.
