Rahul Gandhi Modi’s government will increase prices of petrol, diesel and LPG after the upcoming assembly elections, he said on Saturday, blaming the BJP for lacking strategy and direction to manage the country’s economy. Congress also accused the Modi government of “moral cowardice” and “betrayal of civilized values” for “failing to condemn” the US-Israeli attack on Iran.

“The government may say this is ‘normal’, but the reality is: production and transportation will become more expensive, MSMEs will be hardest hit, prices of daily necessities will rise, FII funds will flow out faster, putting more pressure on the stock market. In other words, this will definitely have a direct and profound impact on every household’s pocket,” he said.
Meanwhile, as the war in West Asia ended 21 days ago, Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh said, “Prime Minister Modi has failed to leverage his much-vaunted friendship with US President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to achieve a ceasefire.”
He said: “Does the Modi government condemn, criticize or condemn the barbaric actions of the United States and Israel to force regime change and national collapse in Iran that may lead to civil war in Iran? The answer is no.”
