Raghav Chadha talks about backlash to joining BJP, cites ‘toxic work environment’ in new video

New Delhi: Raghav Chadha responded to criticism surrounding his decision to join the league on Monday bjpexplaining why he quit am admi party.Chadha said in a video shared on Instagram that he had been flooded with messages following the announcement. He said: “In the past three days, I have received a lot of messages from everyone. Most of you sent me your best wishes and congratulated me, while some wanted to know the reasons behind my decision. “ Chadha said that he dedicated 15 years of his youth to the Aam Aadmi Party and called himself a founding member of the organization. He said: “I didn’t go into politics to make a career. I became a founding member of a political party. I dedicated 15 years of my youth to this party with my blood, sweat and hard work. “ He went on to sharply criticize the way the party currently operates, claiming it has changed over time and is no longer the organization it once was. “Today, this party is no longer the same party. Today, this party has a toxic working environment. You are banned from working. You are banned from speaking in parliament,” he said.Explain his decision to join bjpChadha said he felt increasingly out of place within the party, describing himself as “the right person in the wrong party.” He said he considered a number of options, including quitting politics entirely, trying internal reforms, or moving to another political platform, ultimately choosing the latter.He also claimed the decision was not isolated, saying: “Not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six – seven MPs decided to sever ties with this party.” He added, “One person may be wrong, two people may be wrong, but seven people cannot be wrong.”Responding to criticism that the exit was due to pressure or fear, Chadha denied the accusation. “We left not out of fear, but out of disappointment, disappointment and disgust,” he said.He further claimed that despite leaving AAP, he would continue his political engagement and public advocacy, saying: “I will continue to raise your issues with more energy and enthusiasm.”According to reports, within 24 hours of announcing his resignation from the Aam Aadmi Party and joining the Bharatiya Janata Party, Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha’s Instagram follower count dropped sharply, losing more than 1 million followers, which later increased to 2 million. His move also sparked a backlash on social media, with some of his supporters criticizing his decision to join the BJP. Additionally, old video clips of him and past comments critical of the BJP have resurfaced online, further fueling the debate surrounding his political shift.
