Balochistan attacks: BLA claims 27 attacks in Balochistan in 10 days, 42 Pakistani soldiers killed

The BLA also claimed that it seized weapons and briefly occupied multiple posts and facilities belonging to security forces in different areas.The group also claimed three of its fighters were killed. Its militants targeted advancing troops in the Sonda area with remote-controlled improvised explosive devices and then carried out an ambush, allegedly killing several people, the statement said. Subsequent operations in nearby civilian areas resulted in the deaths of 11 people, according to TBP.

In Quetta, it claimed that the ‘Hawks’ police unit on Kambrani Road was attacked, leaving two personnel injured. It also said it killed a local alleged pro-government militant often associated with death squads in the Kohlu area and reported further attacks on armed groups and security forces in Besima, resulting in casualties.According to the BLA, clashes in Khanai Shahrag resulted in the capture of a soldier alive. It said it took control of a recruitment post in Jarmagsi, seized weapons and carried out multiple attacks on convoys and checkpoints, causing casualties. The group also confirmed the death of one militant during the clashes.Weeks ago, Baloch militants opened fire on a patrol boat in the Arabian Sea near the Iranian border, killing three Pakistani coast guard personnel in what security officials said was the first such attack on a maritime security vessel. Intelligence and police officials said the ship was on a routine patrol near the Pakistan-Iran coastal border when it was fired upon, killing all three people on board.
