new delhi : punjabi actress Himansh Khurana A complaint has been lodged with Mohali police claiming that she received a threat of extortion of Rs 10 crore from a foreign gangster.According to the police, an FIR has been registered based on the complaint filed by the actress. Khurana told police that a blackmail email was received on her official email address.Based on the complaint, police registered an FIR under sections 308(4) (extortion) and 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Sohana police station on Saturday.Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Saurav Jindal said, “As per the complaint, the email contained a voice message allegedly sent by a foreign gangster demanding Rs 10 crore as extortion funds.”Police have launched an investigation into the matter and are working to trace the source of the emails and voice messages. Officials added that further action will be taken as per the law.Himanshi Khurana is an actress and model, known for her role in the 2013 Punjabi film Sadda Haq. She has appeared in several music videos and also participated in the reality TV show Bigg Boss Season 13.A few weeks ago, Punjabi singer Dilnoor approached Mohali police claiming that he received threatening calls demanding Rs 10 crore and mentioned popular singer B Praak.
