Princess Iman and Jameel Alexander Thermiotis welcome twin daughters Talia and Rania, bringing double joy to Jordan’s royal family.

Princess Iman of Jordan has welcomed twin daughters with her husband, Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, bringing a double celebration to the Jordanian royal family. The newborns arrived on Friday, August 14, and their parents have now revealed their names as Talia and Rania, with the latter named after Iman’s mother, Queen Rania.In a joint statement, Princess Iman and Thermiotis expressed their gratitude following the arrival of their daughters.“Praise be to Allah, the bestower of the most beautiful gifts,” the couple wrote. “The most merciful has honoured us with the arrival of our precious twin daughters: Talia and Rania.”They added, “We ask Allah to bless and protect them, and to fill their lives with light, blessings, and happiness.”

Princess Iman and Jameel welcome twin daughters

The Royal Hashemite Court announced the birth of Princess Iman’s twin daughters on its official website, congratulating the couple as well as King Abdullah II and Queen Rania.“The Royal Hashemite Court extends its sincere congratulations and best wishes to Princess Iman and Mr Jameel, as well as to Their Majesties King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on this happy occasion,” the court said in a statement.The twins join their older sister, Amina, making Princess Iman and Thermiotis parents to three daughters.

Queen Rania becomes grandmother to four granddaughters

Talia and Rania are King Abdullah II and Queen Rania’s third and fourth grandchildren. The royal couple first became grandparents in August 2024, when Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa welcomed their daughter, Princess Iman, who was named after her aunt.Princess Iman and Thermiotis welcomed their first daughter, Amina, in February 2025. With the arrival of the twins, King Abdullah and Queen Rania are now grandparents to four granddaughters.Queen Rania had announced her daughter’s pregnancy just over a month before the twins were born. Sharing a family photograph featuring Iman, Thermiotis and Amina, the Queen wrote, “The grandchildren club is growing, and we couldn’t be happier for Iman, Jameel, and soon-to-be big sister Amina!”She added, “A new joy is on the way… Congratulations to Iman, Jameel, and my darling Amina, who will be a big sister. May God grant you a safe delivery and bless your future.”

Crown Prince Hussein congratulates his sister

Princess Iman’s older brother, Crown Prince Hussein, also celebrated the arrival of his nieces. Sharing a message on his Instagram Story, he wrote, translated from Arabic, “Thank God for the complete grace and great favor. Beautiful blessing and faith.”Princess Iman, 29, is the second of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania’s four children. She married Venezuelan-born financier Jameel Alexander Thermiotis in 2023, becoming the first of her siblings to marry.The arrival of Talia and Rania marks another addition to Jordan’s growing royal family. Under Jordan’s current succession laws, the crown passes through male heirs, meaning the four young princesses are not in the direct line of succession.
