Google today launched its much-anticipated mid-range smartphone Google Pixel 10a in India, aiming to bring its artificial intelligence capabilities to a wider user base. Let’s take a closer look at what this new Pixel device has to offer.
Google Pixel 10a: Price and pre-order details
Google Pixel 10a is priced at Rs. 49,999. The Pixel 10a is available in four colors: Lavender, Obsidian, Mist, and Berry.
The machine is available for pre-order from now on and will be available on major e-commerce platforms across the country from March 6, 2026. Additionally, the Google Pixel 10a will be part of the Google Pixel upgrade program with an EMI of Rs. 2,083 per month. Google Pixel 10a: Specs and features
Pixel 10a features a 6.3-inch Actua display with peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. Google claims this makes it the brightest display in the Pixel A series to date. Higher brightness levels are designed to improve outdoor visibility, especially in direct sunlight. The smartphone sports a sophisticated design with slimmer 4mm bezels and a flat back panel.
The camera system on the Pixel 10a remains the same, with a 48MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 13MP selfie camera.
Under the hood, the Google Pixel 10a is powered by the Tensor G4, the same processor used in last year’s Pixel 9a, and is paired with 8GB of RAM. Google is not using the Tensor G5 processor in the latest Pixel 10 series, and the reasons for this choice are unclear.
The device comes with a 5,100 mAh battery, which is the largest battery used in a Pixel A series smartphone. Google claims that the device can be used for more than 30 hours on a single charge. The device supports 30W wired charging and 10W wireless charging, providing users with multiple charging options.
In terms of durability, the Pixel 10a has an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. It uses Gorilla Glass 7i to protect the display. Google promises seven years of operating system and software updates designed to extend the life of the device.
Artificial Intelligence and other features
AI capabilities form a core part of the Pixel 10a offering. The smartphone introduces AI tools like Camera Coach, which guides users in real-time while taking photos. Another feature, Auto Best Shot, helps improve group photos by selecting natural facial expressions from multiple photos, supporting images of up to 20 people. Google confirmed that the device will receive regular Pixel Drops, which will add new features and updates over time.
Google also emphasized the sustainability aspects of the device. Pixel 10a features a 100% aluminum frame and 81% recycled plastic back. With the Series A, the company is incorporating recycled cobalt, copper, gold, and tungsten into the phone’s construction for the first time.
