President Donald Trump will appear on limited-edition U.S. passports

WASHINGTON: The State Department is preparing to launch limited-edition U.S. passports featuring photos of President Donald Trump and the Founding Fathers in July to commemorate the 250th anniversary of America’s independence.

Special passports are only available to those who apply in person at the Washington Passport Office, not anywhere else in the country.

The U.S. State Department shared images of the limited edition passport on its social media account.

The passport features Trump’s face on one page, surrounded by the text of the Declaration of Independence and the American flag, as well as the president’s golden signature.

Another page shows a famous painting of the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence.

The passports will be issued this summer as part of the Trump administration’s broader “America 250” celebrations, which also include the Grand Prix on the National Mall in August and a UFC event on the South Lawn of the White House in June.

“As the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary in July, @StateDept is preparing to issue a limited number of specially designed U.S. passports to mark this historic moment,” State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott posted on

A State Department official told Fox News Digital that the new design will apply to “any U.S. citizen” applying for a passport at launch and will continue as long as it is available.

“These passports will feature custom artwork and enhanced imagery while maintaining the same security features as U.S. passports, making them the most secure documents in the world,” Piggott said in a statement.

In October, the Treasury Department proposed minting a dollar coin bearing Trump’s face to commemorate the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.

One side of the coin will feature Trump’s face along with the words “Liberty,” “In God We Trust” and “1776-2026,” according to a sketch confirmed by U.S. Treasury Secretary Brendan Beach as authentic.

The other side of the coin shows Trump standing in front of an American flag with his right fist clenched and reading “FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT” – a reference to the slogan he chanted after an assassination attempt at a 2024 campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
