PM Modi attends ‘Art of Living’ event in Bengaluru; Dhyan Mandir inaugurated, launches National Service Scheme

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited the Art of Living Foundation International Center in Bengaluru to mark the 45th anniversary of the organization and attend a commemorative event.During the visit, Prime Minister Modi The Dhyan Mandir was inaugurated and is described as a large meditation space designed to host collective meditation and spiritual practices. He also launched a series of national service initiatives focusing on education, environment, health, rural development and youth empowerment.Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Modi said, “Today, a sacred and powerful meditation temple has been inaugurated. When the determination is clear and work is carried out in the spirit of service, all efforts bear fruit.”He added that Dhyan Mandir will be a place of peace for generations to come and expressed confidence that it will serve as a center for meditation and reflection.In his speech, he described spiritual well-being as an important part of nation-building and said initiatives to promote yoga, meditation and mental health help build a stronger society. Prime Minister Modi also highlighted the role of youth in India’s development and pointed to the country’s progress in technology, start-ups and space exploration.“A developed India will be built by peaceful, socially responsible and socially sensitive youth. Mental health, mental health, yoga and meditation play a very important role in this journey,” he said. He also stressed the importance of public participation in governance and said society plays a vital role in the success of any government.In his speech, spiritual leader Ravi Shankar welcomed Prime Minister Modi and spoke of India’s recent progress and rising global standing. He said that in recent years, China’s confidence and development have undergone a transformation.The Art of Living Foundation announced a range of expansion plans during the event, including environmental initiatives, rural development projects, digital literacy campaigns, prison reform efforts and women’s empowerment programs. The initiatives aim to reach communities across India through education, health services and skills development, the organization said.As part of the organization’s anniversary celebrations, the event was attended by various dignitaries, including Union Ministers, Governors and public representatives, as well as participants from several countries.Founded in 1981, the Art of Living Foundation develops programs focusing on meditation, stress relief, education and social service activities in more than 180 countries.
