Now, buying an Apple Watch in India is slightly cheaper for students and teachers. Apple has added its smartwatch line to the company’s education savings program, expanding a deal that was previously limited to Macs, iPads and related accessories during the back-to-school season.
The update means eligible college students, educators, and academic staff can now purchase select Apple Watch models at a discount from Apple retail stores and the online education store. The offer is available in India and several other regions where Apple has education pricing plans.
Countries offering the latest education savings include:
Apple says nearly all Apple Watch models it currently sells are eligible for the special education discount. These include:
The only model not included is the Hermès version of the Apple Watch range. Apple has also updated India pricing for eligible buyers. The revised education price is:
Apple Watch SE 3: Rs. 23,900
Apple Watch Series 11: Rs. 41,900
Apple Watch Ultra 3: Rs. 80,900
The discount is nearly 10% lower than the regular price at Apple’s official store.
Apple positions Apple Watch as a device that can help students manage daily schedules, exercise and communication through a single screen. Features like Focus Mode reduce distractions during class or study, while Siri, timers, reminders, and calendar sync help users manage tasks without constantly checking their phone.
The company also highlighted the fitness and safety tools available in its smartwatch range. Users can track their workouts through the Workout app, monitor their movements through the Activity app, and check sleep data through the sleep tracking feature. Supported models also include tools such as SOS and collision detection.
To take advantage of education pricing in India, users must first verify their eligibility through UNiDAYS before placing an order through the Apple India Education Store or Apple Retail Store. Verification can be completed using a student or staff ID card or an institutional email address.
