Plainfield, IL: Police warn of ‘active incidents’ on streets, shootings raise concerns; gruesome photos emerge
An “active incident” was reported Thursday in the 24100 block of Plainfield Avenue, Illinois, prompting concerns of a shooting. Plainfield Illinois Police Department Announce “Plainfield Police are currently responding to an active incident in the 24100 block of Main Street. Please avoid the area while officers work to safely resolve the situation. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.”

A local reporter reported that shelter-in-place orders had been ordered, but police have not confirmed this. “Plainfield has issued a shelter-in-place order as officials describe this as a high-priority incident,” they noted. “Earlier reports indicated emergency personnel responded to a shooting near West Main Street, but authorities have not confirmed whether the two incidents are related.”
