PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Confirms Lahore PSL 2026 Final Audience Number

New Delhi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi confirmed fans will be allowed to attend matches pakistan super league (PSL) 2026 finals.Naqvi, who is also the country’s home minister, said on social media that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had “generously granted permission” for spectators to watch the final, which will be held in Lahore on May 3.The 2026 PSL season had earlier been played behind closed doors as authorities urged restrictions on public movement due to soaring fuel prices due to conflict in the Middle East.

In this context, the Pakistani government has advised citizens to limit travel and work from home as part of wider efforts to manage fuel consumption.Naqvi said that while Sharif was leaning toward allowing fans into stadiums, the prime minister also stressed that austerity measures were still in place across the country to reduce fuel use.On the cricket front, Babar Azam, Multan Sultan-led Peshawar Zalmi and three-time champions Islamabad United have already sealed their playoff spots ahead of next week’s knockout stages.Defending champions Lahore Qalandars, newly promoted Hyderabad Golden Gates and Karachi Kings are still in contention for the fourth and final playoff spot.
