Park Place Mall shooting video: Footage allegedly shows fight between teens; then gunshots ring out at Tucson mall

Video shared on social media shows a group of children fighting before what appears to be gunfire can be heard. Such a video was shared by What’s Up Tucson, a website that provides local news and event updates on X.

Another video appears to show more of the fight and was shared by the Tucson Scanners page.

HT.com was unable to independently verify the authenticity of these videos.

According to reports, the Tucson Police Department believes the suspect is still at large. Although the mall is open, the shooting still frightens mall patrons.

Park Place Mall shooting scares many

Local Paige Stewart was at the mall with her five-year-old child. shared Tragic experience for local publication KOVA. “This is the mall where I grew up — this doesn’t happen here — and then it does,” she said.

“I heard what sounded like six or seven gunshots. I pushed my five-year-old against the wall and put myself on top of her,” she added.

Two people had to be taken to hospital after the shooting.

Meanwhile, Stewart added: “I was really worried that we weren’t going to get out. I didn’t think we were going to get out of here.”

“This type of violence in a public place is deeply concerning,” the Tucson Police Department said in a statement, noting that the shooting was an isolated incident.

Park Place Mall also released a statement to the publication, saying “the safety of our guests, employees and community remains our top priority. We would like to thank the Tucson Police Department for their quick response to yesterday’s incident.”

The shooting occurred in the mall’s food court, prompting people to evacuate. The recent incident caused a backlash from many as the alleged video was widely shared.

“OMG can’t wait to get out of this city…it’s been four days in a row with shootings now? That’s awesome,” one person wrote About X.another additional “That’s why I don’t want my daughters to go to this mall or the Tucson Mall.”

Another one explain“, “I hate this very much. Ordinary people hurt and kill each other at a time when we need to unite against those who create the problems we argue about. These are just children, all of whose lives have now been irreparably damaged or ended.
