Paris knife attack: Three women stabbed near Porte de Clichy, man arrested
A man was arrested Monday morning after stabbing three women near Porte de Clichy in Paris, leaving one of the victims in critical condition, France’s interior minister said.According to Paris police, the attack occurred at around 11:30 a.m. local time in the north of the capital. All three victims were taken to hospital.Two of the three women were seriously injured. Police added that one of the victims is believed to be pregnant and is in critical condition.The suspect, a 31-year-old man believed to have mental health issues, was arrested at the scene by an off-duty police officer. Police said he was armed with two knives. His identity and motives are unclear.Metro and tram stations in the Clichymen area are closed. An investigation has been launched.Two days ago, an Islamist militant drove a rented minivan into a Pride parade in Berlin, killing one woman and injuring 29 people.
