After reducing Namibia to 156 for 8, Pastelid led the Netherlands home with a 12-ball win. Delide remained unbeaten with 72 off 48 balls.Delide has received strong support from all parties Colin AckermanHe scored 32 goals from 28 goals and Michael Levitt scored 28 goals from 15 goals in the opener. His 70-run partnership with Ackerman for the third wicket proved to be a game-changing partnership.Meanwhile, Namibia, inspired by the Netherlands, also started a spin attack and found immediate success, with Max O’Dowd being caught by the Namibia skipper in the third over off a faster back delivery by left-arm orthodox Bernard Scholtz.Left-arm pacer Reuben Troupelmann dismissed Michael Levitt on the third ball of the sixth over, but the 22-year-old batsman did enough damage with an innings of 28 off 15 balls as the Netherlands ended the powerplay at 50 for 2.Ackermann was knocked out in the 13th hole by Steenkamp in the 10th hole. The Netherlands still needed 80 runs in the final half of the innings and Ackerman’s wicket would put pressure on them, but Steenkamp was unable to take a regular catch at deep square leg.Namibia got off to a slow start after taking the field. Louren Steenkamp and Jan Frylinck opened the innings, with Netherlands starting with deputy Aryan Dutt. The lanky spinner had Steenkamp stranded midway on the track and the right-handed batsman was stumped by Netherlands captain Scott Edwards in the third over. The Dutch bowlers made the most of the conditions, hitting four spins in the powerplay, while the Namibia Eagles managed just 40 runs in the first six overs, hitting just three boundaries and four sixes.Jan Frylinck’s innings never clicked and he ended summarily when he was caught by Edwards Logan VanBeekNamibia’s bowling scored 65 runs off 2 balls after 10 overs. It was not until captain Gerhard Erasmus joined forces with left-hander Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton in the midfield that Namibia’s run rate improved and they scored 29 points in the next two rounds, taking their total score in 12 rounds to 94 points. However, Erasmus, who scored 18 goals with 9 goals, was stuck in midfield in the 13th round. Loftie-Eaton’s 42 off 38 balls was followed by Namibia’s defeat of 107 for 4 in the 15th over.Namibia lost Reuben Troupelmann’s batting ability in the final innings, with Dylan Letcher’s poor call resulting in Troupelmann being dismissed for 9 runs.

DK Shivakumar insists all is well between him and CM Siddaramaiah; confirms 'no confusion'

New Delhi: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and state Congress chief DK Shivakumar on Tuesday reiterated that there is “no confusion” over leadership issues within the state government and claimed that his understanding with Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has been clarified at the Congress high command.Speaking to reporters before leaving for New Delhi, Shivakumar responded to the growing speculation about a possible change in leadership, saying: “There is no confusion. We, the chief minister and I, know what we discussed. We did not speak individually or in secret, I spoke along with Siddaramaiah and the party leaders. We acted on what we discussed. Statements or opinions made by others for or against any MLA or minister hurt the party and are not a good sign.” Mr Mallikarjun Khage said everyone should shut up. “

Taking a tough stand against party members openly expressing their views on leadership issues, Shivakumar reiterated AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge’s earlier directive urging Congress workers to focus on their duties.Shivakumar further urged everyone not to spread rumours, saying, “Whoever speaks, whether for me or against me, whether they are ministers, legislators or others, they are damaging the party. Such statements do not do the party any good. Malikajun Haq once said that it would be good if everyone shut up. We should all abide by it.”The ongoing power struggle between the two senior leaders has once again come into focus after Siddaramaiah’s son and MLC Yathindra’s recent comments insisting that his father will serve out the entire five-year term.In November 2025, when the Congress government was halfway through its term, rumors of a power-sharing understanding between Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar during the formation of the government in 2023 were once again sparked.Despite reports that his absence from the pre-budget meeting was a sign of growing differences, the deputy chief minister clarified that he had sought the chief minister’s permission as he plans to engage with the Congress leadership ahead of the upcoming elections. “Today evening, I will convene an AICC meeting to discuss various election-related political issues. The AICC has called me and I will attend the meeting. The election date may be announced anytime and we have reached that stage. I have been to Kerala. I have to go to Assam,” he explained.Shivakumar’s trip to Delhi has further fueled political curiosity as Siddaramaiah is currently holding pre-budget meetings with various ministries before presenting his record 17th budget in March 2026.Asked if he planned to meet the party’s senior command members during his visit, he said, “Once I go there, I will meet all possible people. The parliamentary meeting is also going on and I will definitely meet them if they are available.”Denying claims by some MPs that he might come back with “good news”, Shivakumar struck an optimistic tone and said, “Every day is good news for me. Every day is a good life for me. Every day is a good start for me. Every day is a successful day for me. So every day is good, happy, but every day is also difficult because nothing is easy. Every day in solving people’s difficulties, there will be many difficulties and problems, there will be obstacles, criticisms.” We have to face them and get on with our work. “

Walee Technologies has announced that the identity of Multan Sultans will be effectively dissolved and the franchise will be repositioned and renamed Rawalpindi – the home of the new ownership group. Opposition moves no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla

New Delhi: Opposition parties on Tuesday filed a notice of no-confidence against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, intensifying their confrontation with the government over the implementation of parliamentary procedures. Sources said the notice has been signed by more than 100 MPs. Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that today at 1.14 pm, a notice of no-confidence motion was filed against the Speaker of the Lok Sabha under Rule 94C of the Rules and Procedures.Under Article 94(c) of the Constitution, the Speaker can be removed by a resolution passed by the Lok Sabha after a mandatory notice period of 14 days. This follows days of deliberations by India bloc leaders amid repeated disruptions in the House of Representatives.Opposition parties have raised a series of grievances, including refusal to allow opposition leader Rahul Gandhi to speak, suspension of opposition members and alleged inaction over remarks by BJP MP Nisikant Dubey. The leader also rejected suggestions that female MPs posed a threat to the prime minister. On Monday, senior Congress leader KC Venugopal said action was imminent and criticized the functioning of the Lok Sabha. “Under parliamentary rules, the leader of the opposition is the shadow prime minister. But here, Labor is not allowed to speak in the House. The government can say anything and attack anyone,” he said. Venugopal also accused the Speaker of bias. “The Speaker himself is raising charges against congresswomen but there is simply no space for the opposition in the House and they are not even allowed… This attitude towards the opposition has never happened before… Action is awaited,” he said. Referring to trade discussions with Washington, he added, “The US-India trade deal is somewhat shocking and the leader of the opposition wanted to mention something about the deal to the Speaker, but that was also not allowed. The government wants to keep parliament for itself. “The opposition’s move was discussed at a meeting attended by India Bloc leaders, including Congress president Mallikarjun Haq, with some parties initially suggesting submitting a formal letter of complaint to the Speaker before taking the extreme step. Sources said another meeting was held on Tuesday morning to finalize the timing. However, the government played down the development. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the opposition lacked the numbers to support the resolution. The no-confidence motion comes amid a long-standing deadlock in the Lok Sabha, with opposition members protesting against their refusal to speak during key debates, including a motion to thank the president for his speech, leading to multiple prorogations of parliament.

2 月 4 日在人民院发生了什么? Kiren Rijiju 发布了混乱的视频

A look at the video shared by Kiren Rijiju

New Delhi: Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kieron Rijiju A video of the February 4 Lok Sabha proceedings was released on Tuesday, alleging that Congress MPs created a situation to force the Prime Minister to Narendra Modi skipping his scheduled responses to the president’s remarks.Rijiju shared the video on “Congress is proud of the most degrading behavior of its MPs! If we had not stopped all the BJP MPs and allowed women MPs to confront Congress MPs, it would have resulted in very ugly scenes,” Rijiju wrote on X.

He also claimed that the BJP MPs must be restrained to avoid confrontation in the House.“We have to control our BJP NDA MPs. The BJP women MPs were very angry at such behavior by the Congress MPs. We stopped our MPs from getting into a physical altercation. The MPs then went to the Speaker’s chamber to threaten the Speaker. The BJP women MPs have lodged a complaint. Let us see how the Speaker takes action and what steps he will take,” Rijiju said. The minister also retweeted another video shared by the Congress, which showed Speaker Om Birla saying that he had asked the Prime Minister not to attend the House after receiving suggestions that some opposition MPs might approach his seat and cause an “unprecedented incident”.“We attach great importance to protecting the dignity and sanctity of Parliament,” Rigiju added. The controversy dates back to February 4, when Prime Minister Modi was scheduled to reply to the motion of thanks for the President’s speech. However, the speech was canceled after Speaker Bella said he had received “concrete information” that some MPs might try to disrupt the proceedings. On Monday, the congresswomen wrote to Birla, strongly rejecting what they called “serious allegations” that they threatened or tried to obstruct the prime minister in the House of Representatives.Congress leaders denied the claims, saying the Prime Minister was avoiding the House because he was “too scared to speak”.The issue escalated further on Tuesday when a women BJP MP wrote to the Speaker supporting Birla and accusing opposition members of unruly behavior. In the letter, the BJP MP claimed that Congress women MPs entered the House, threw documents at the Chairman and then surrounded the Prime Minister’s seat. They urged Bella to take the “strongest possible action” against those involved. The BJP’s letter was a rebuttal to a letter from Congress members who accused the Speaker of making “false, baseless and defamatory” claims under pressure from the ruling party.Meanwhile, the opposition leader is planning to file a notice seeking a solution to remove the Speaker of the Lok Sabha.
