ask: what is this The Origin of “Mariam”& son‘? one: I started thinking about people like Maryam many years ago. You know, 2016-17…the emergence of ISIS and the destruction of Iraq. In those days, you heard these guys on the news all the time...”So-and-so fled to Iraq and went to fight in Syria.” But that’s all you get, there’s no other way to find out any other information about these people… So I started thinking more and more about their families… and I started thinking, who were those people? What kind of people are they? Then I started thinking about a middle-aged woman, with personality, a completely ordinary lower-middle-class career woman, British Indian, who lived a decent life and achieved something despite setbacks. She raised her son, she loved him, and then he disappeared… One of the things I tried to do in the novel is that this is not the son’s story, this is Maryam’s story. This is not a story about radicalization or indoctrination… I wanted to stay with Mariam and explore aspects of her character that relate to her being a woman in London, with her own life, her own thoughts, her own wishes and longings and losses. ask: have so much your business bring out about one young widow suddenly putexist spotlight. one: She’s also in a spotlight of her own making because now she’s starting to have some doubts about herself. So I wanted to explore this idea. What is the role of surveillance, and what is the role of being monitored? Who are the observers in this dynamic? So on the surface this person is looking at her, but at some point she starts looking at herself… “Okay, what have I been doing all these years? Is this really what I’m supposed to be doing? Is this who I am? And it’s a bit of a slippery slope. ask: figure ofJulian become like that voices of many people’s heads today question magic digital world. one: The world of technology is so big, so vast, so all-encompassing that oftentimes… we take what’s given to us. There is very little room left for us to examine, question and scrutinize these things. How to be sure that all of these things are good, correct, and true? …what happens in our world is that we are asked to consume these things that are packaged elsewhere. Whether it is algorithms, whether it is artificial intelligence, whether it is technology tycoons, or a group of capitalists, whether it is a few extremely rich people who can rival the country, everything is top-down... The danger is out there for my generation and perhaps even for future generations… Don’t associate with those people, avoid those people… Now, we can keep our children safe indoors, but the danger has walked in, it hides behind screens in so many ways that we can’t keep an eye on it. And it’s so deep, it’s like a maze. As a parent, and as a person living in this era, this has always been on my mind… How kids are affected, what they become, because you can’t control it… There are a lot of influences happening on the internet. When I say impact, an entire life has been shaped. So I did want to spend time in the novel and try to explore that. Well, what if this guy spends all his time online…she probably keeps him safe…he doesn’t hang out with bad boys, but the question in the novel is: What if I don’t close all these loops? … We’ve seen it happen in real time in our lives. A mass, a large group of people who are influenced, transformed, radicalized, turned into something else, or used for some purpose… We have seen this happen time and time again, whether in India, South Asia, Pakistan, the UK or the West… Someone benefits, whether it’s a corporate tech bro, someone selling cars or miracle drugs, or someone peddling hate, bigotry or bigotry… Q: Today world, Who are you not even taking into account be an individual exist unless you There is one Numbers exist. and it is Such a strange space, Especially for all of us who have ever known a life Before that. one: It’s simpler, but it’s a nicer, softer, kinder world… I do want to look at the dark underbelly of the internet, but I don’t want to write a novel about it either… I want to be with Mariam, I think I’m already with Mariam. But I do want to look at this dark underside, which is dark, but it’s not really the underside. It’s everywhere.

Despite having 4 pacers in the playing XI against DC, Arjun didn’t even feature on the LSG bench
New Delhi: Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel won the toss and opted to play first against Lucknow Super Giants in Wednesday’s IPL match and relied on early help from the new stadium. With both teams fielding strong lineups, the game promises to be a balanced battle between bat and ball. However, one notable omission is Arjun Tendulkar, who has not found a place in either the starting XI or the bench. Sachin Tendulkar’s son was traded to LSG ahead of mini-auction but remains on the sidelines.
Aksa explained the decision to bowl first and added, “We are going to bowl first. A fresh wicket in the first game, which is a red solid wicket, might help in the first six overs. Statistics show that a lot of games are won by the team batting first, but we thought this was the first game and we would bowl. ” He also confirmed Delhi’s overseas pairing, adding, “Nisanka, Miller, Stubbs and Lungi Ngidi, our four overseas players.”Delhi Capitals’ starting XI has KL Rahul behind the stumps with Pathum Nissanka and Nitish Rana at the top. ‘No existential threat’: Israeli foreign minister mocks Iran, says cannot promise this will be ‘last war’
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said on Wednesday that current and future conflicts were still a possibility and said the country could not guarantee that the current war would be the last.Amid continued tensions in the region, Sa’ar said Israel’s adversaries still retain the ability to launch attacks, although they do not currently pose a fundamental threat to the country’s existence. “We also need to remain vigilant against the machinations of our enemies in the future,” he said. “We have no guarantee that this will be the ‘last war,'” he said. His comments come as the war in the Middle East enters its second month and shows no signs of abating. The offensive continues to escalate on both sides, with only the United States, Israel and Iran and their allies. While Israeli officials insist that their security posture already contains significant threats, they acknowledge that risks posed by hostile actors remain.Sa’ar stressed that despite the ongoing hostilities, Israel currently faces no “existential threat,” indicating that while security challenges remain, they are being managed within the country’s defense framework.Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump claimed on Wednesday that Iran had asked for a “ceasefire” and went on to describe “the new Iranian regime as less aggressive and smarter”.
‘Who are the biggest litigants? Fees should be levied’: SC fines Center Rs 25,000 in CISF dismissal case
The Supreme Court on Wednesday levied Rs 25,000 as costs on the Center challenging the Punjab and Haryana High Court’s order staying the dismissal of a CISF officer, finding that the matter involved unnecessary litigation.A bench of Justices BV Nagarathna and Ujjal Bhuyan upheld the high court’s decision and directed recovery of salary of the officer, finding that the penalty imposed was disproportionate.PTI quoted Justice Nagarathna as saying: “We don’t understand why the Union of India is challenging the order of the high court division bench. What we hear is that it is pending, pending. Who is the largest litigant? Costs should be levied.”“Why can’t there be an opinion that if the High Court finds this to be disproportionate and grants the relief of setting aside all orders, we don’t go to the Supreme Court? He is on medical leave but he also has to deal with the issue of family elopement,” she added. Justice Nagaratna, while addressing a conference organized by the Supreme Court Bar Association recently, said the court takes submissions regarding the government’s role in the backlog very seriously.“It’s not just about going to some resort and coming back. We prepared, we did our homework. We talked. Don’t forget,” she said. The CISF officer was charged with two charges: absence from duty for 11 days and breach of discipline for allegedly allowing a woman, the daughter of a CISF officer, to leave Mumbai to attend her wedding with her brother. However, the High Court noted that the absence for 11 days was explained as the officer was on approved sick leave during the period.Justice Nagarathna noted that during the disciplinary proceedings, the woman involved appeared before the court and stated that she had no grievance against the allegations made by the respondent-applicant that she had eloped with his brother.“Beyond this, it is not in dispute that the brother of the respondent-applicant is married to the lady involved. Therefore, it is proved that there is in fact no misconduct on the part of the respondent for which he could be removed from office,” the High Court said.
