Davis’ brother, Rhodri, announced the news via Instagram on Sunday, May 31, along with a photo of the actor. The caption read: “It is with deep sadness that my father and I share the news that my brother Owen has passed away. This news comes as a huge shock to many. While there are still unanswered questions about the circumstances of his death, our understanding at this stage is that Owen passed away suddenly, naturally, and peacefully.”

“Owen’s love, friendship and generosity were far-reaching. The outpouring of messages we have received over the past few days has been heartwarming and a testament to the impact he had on so many people.”
