New Delhi: Opposition membersThe Lok Sabha on Friday questioned the government’s decision to propose amendments to the Women’s Quota Act, 2023 before the main bill comes into force and sought clarification from the Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal due to procedural errors.Congress MP KC Venugopal pointed out that the Law Ministry issued a notification late last night calling for the 2023 law to come into effect from April 16, just before an amendment bill to the bill was introduced and discussed in the House.
