Police later confirmed that he was arrested outside OpenAI’s offices, where he allegedly further threatened to set the building on fire.The San Francisco Police Department said officers responded to the initial incident around 4 a.m., recovered an incendiary device from the scene and reviewed surveillance video showing someone outside the property. Subsequently, through investigation, the suspect’s identity was locked and he was criminally detained.Moreno-Gama was charged with multiple felonies, including attempted murder, arson, criminal threats and possession of incendiary and destructive devices. Altman, a co-founder of the company behind ChatGPT, was not injured.Moreno-Gama remains in custody as prosecutors continue their case. The charges are merely accusations and have not been proven in court.
