US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday (local time) the creation of an “AI Force” to protect artificial intelligence (AI) from being “decimated” by what he termed the “Radical Left Dumocrats.“He said that an “AI Czar” would be appointed to lead the proposed “AI Force.”“Over the years, there have been many Hoaxes, all generated by the Radical Left Dumocrats, for purposes of destroying our Country… and now, the decimation, or destruction, of AI, commonly known as Artificial Intelligence — And I, as President of the United States, will not stand by and let this happen,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.“For this purpose, I am forming the AI Force, much like I did Space Force, which has been a tremendous SUCCESS, in my First Term. To that end, I will be announcing, in the near future, the AI ‘Czar’,” he added.According to the president, candidates for the “AI Czar” position must be “high IQ individuals.” He also predicted that AI will serve as the next industrial revolution, projecting that it will be massive and could potentially account for up to 25% of the United States’ GDP.Trump, who has faced growing public scepticism over AI and warnings from industry leaders about its safety risks, said liberals want the “decimation, or destruction, of AI.”
