Those who wish to pay their last respects can visit her residence tomorrow at 11 am. The last rites will be held at Shivaji Park tomorrow at 4 pm.”One of India’s most famous singing icons, Asha Bhosle, has died of multiple organ failure, according to the doctor who treated her.“She died of multi-organ failure a few minutes ago,” Dr Pratit Samdani told PTI.The singer was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday night with a chest infection and exhaustion, her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle said in a post.The veteran singer’s last rites will be performed with state honors at Shivaji Park on Monday.With a career that spanned decades, Bhosle began her musical journey in 1943 and went on to become one of India’s most famous playback singers and one of the last remaining legends of Indian film music.
