If you’ve been waiting for the price of your favorite gaming console to drop, we have some good news for you. Before you jump on the bandwagon, no, Sony’s PS5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series S consoles haven’t received a price cut in India yet. Instead, NVIDIA launched GeForce NOW cloud gaming service in India. The service allows users to play high-end games at much lower prices than popular consoles.

What is NVIDIA GeForce now? What happened?
For those unfamiliar, GeForce NOW is a cloud-based gaming service that allows users to play high-end PC games on virtually any device, including laptops, desktops, handheld consoles, smartphones, and TVs, without the need for powerful hardware. It acts like a virtual PC and can stream games from the cloud from a user’s existing game library, including Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Game Pass, Ubisoft Connect and GOG. In addition to allowing users to stream games through these services, players will also have access to 100 popular free games such as Counter-Strike 2, Forza Horizon 5, and Cyberpunk 2077, as well as highly anticipated launch day releases such as PRAGMATA and more than 4,500 ready-to-play and install-ready games.
NVIDIA says that starting today, gamers in India will be able to sign up for GeForce NOW and instantly stream their PC games from the cloud without the need for any high-end hardware. However, the service is currently in beta. Gamers who sign up now will receive a customized early access pass at a special introductory price. Each pass is valid for 90 days, and once the old pass expires, players can purchase another pass to extend access. The company will launch the full version of the service in India later this year.
NVIDIA GeForce NOW Subscription Plan
Globally, NVIDIA GeForce NOW is available in three tiers: Free, Performance and Ultimate. The free tier will be launched in India in the coming weeks. Performance Tier Cost $999 90 days and ultimate tier fee $1,999 for 90 days.
NVIDIA says that both Performance and Ultimate tier Early Access pass holders will receive 200GB of persistent storage for the price of 200GB. $299. The storage space is valid for 90 days and once the 90-day period expires, the user will be able to renew the storage space. Ultimate and Performance tier Early Access pass users will also receive 100GB of single-session cloud storage for install-and-play games at no additional cost to members.
