According to the company’s official website, it “unifies all current artificial intelligence capabilities into a single system.”
“It operates the software stack just like its human colleagues: by using it. The computer reasons, delegates, searches, builds, remembers, encodes and delivers.”

“Can you please stop the undisclosed promotion? It deceives users and does not reflect well on your company or your integrity,” he wrote on Twitter, tagging Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas.
Nikita Bier also shared a tweet from biotech PhD Simon Goddek CEO Brand of premium supplement brand Sunfluencer. In his post, Goddek claimed, “There are numerous promotional networks targeting cryptocurrency and AI scams on this platform [X] Operating completely unethically, blatantly violating X’s terms of service and engaging in money laundering.In the same post, he shared a screenshot that he claimed showed an ad from Perplexity that has not yet been disclosed as a paid promotion.

Nikita Bier’s post slamming Aravind Srinivas received mixed responses on X. One person commented: “With this level of integrity, I wouldn’t be surprised if one day we find them inserting spyware, backdoors, adware, or anything else questionable into Perplexity Computer.“
Another argued, “Nikita, they launched the product and promoted it… why are you restless? Focus on your own path. Now it seems you attended the launch event without being invited.”

Who is Nikita Bill?
Nikita Bier had been quietly serving as an advisor to Elon Musk’s social media platform since October 2025 before being hired as X’s head of product. Last year, he served as product owner.

Aravind Srinivas, a native of Chennai, currently serves as CEO of Perplexity, an AI answers engine he co-founded. Prior to co-founding Perplexity, Aravind served as a research scientist at OpenAI, Google, and DeepMind.
