The veteran leader, who just turned 75, was sworn in for a record tenth term in November and is now set to move to the House of Commons.With Nitish joining the Upper House, the door has opened for the BJP to appoint its own chief minister of Bihar for the first time. According to leaders familiar with the discussions, Nitish will formally enter the upper house once the new term of the House of Representatives begins on April 9 after the outgoing members retire.
