A “No Trespassing” sign was erected on their front lawn, warning violators would be prosecuted, local media reported. The move follows growing community concern, including activity from YouTube users and continued public attention to the case.

New DNA evidence

In the meantime, investigators are continuing to analyze potential evidence related to the case. Sources told ABC News that the FBI recently received DNA recovered from Nancy’s Tucson home several months ago and is currently conducting further testing using advanced technology.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed it is coordinating efforts with federal authorities.

“PCSD has been cooperating with the FBI since the beginning of the Guthrie investigation. This information is not new. The private labs we use in Florida continue to share information with the FBI lab and other partner labs across the country. DNA analysis remains ongoing.”

Officials hope the test will help identify those responsible for the Feb. 1 abduction.

The warning signs that appeared outside Anne’s home raised questions online, with some pointing out that most of the media activity was focused around Nancy’s own home, which is about 10 miles away.

“I didn’t even see or hear anyone go to Annie & Tomasso’s property. Why is there this sign? So weird,” one person commented.

Another added: “No one has ever trespassed on their property.”

Law enforcement had implemented similar restrictions around Nancy’s residence early in the investigation.

“[The department will] We will continue to be stationed at Nancy Guthrie’s residence for security purposes,” a spokesperson said. “Media and the public are reminded that all traffic and private property laws must be followed. Trespassing is prohibited on Nancy Guthrie property. “
