Megyn Kelly Interviewed by Savannah Guthrie-Hoda Kotb
In a self-written article, Kelly blasted Kotb’s interview style, saying: “With all due respect, Hoda Kotb failed at this job. I don’t think she was the woman to be interviewed for this interview.”
She went on to say that Kotb’s failure to ask any questions that furthered the previous question was not “consistent with journalistic reporting.” Kelly cited an example where Kotb didn’t ask a follow-up question.
She said: “At some point, Savannah It was revealed that when her sister and brother-in-law discovered Nancy was missing, they found the back door of Nancy’s home “open.” The natural follow-up reaction is: “What do you mean the back door is ‘open’?”
She further claimed that the interview was conducted to serve network interests rather than journalistic rigor. “I believe NBC put her there because they wanted to use it as a promotional tool … to show that Hoda and Savannah are friends and that the Today Show is a family,” Kelly said.
Kelly discussed Kotb’s open mic during the interview, as well as her responses to Savannah’s responses, which were documented in her article.
“It was an inappropriate choice from a journalistic perspective because it would just be a distraction. This interview is not about Hoda, it’s about Savannah,” she said.

Savannah Guthrie on the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie
Savannah has spoken publicly about the emotional toll the case has taken, saying in an interview with Hoda Kotb that her family is “in pain” while continuing to appeal for information.
84-year-old Nancy Guthrie is reported missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona, under suspicious circumstances and authorities suspect she may have been abducted.
Investigators, including the FBI, have been pursuing multiple leads, including forensic evidence and extortion communications, but so far no arrests have been made.
Guthrie said investigators have worked hard, but the family still wants answers. “Somebody needs to do the right thing. We’re in pain. We’re in pain. It’s unbearable,” she said.
She further spoke about the speculation surrounding her family, especially her sister Anne Guthrie and brother-in-law Tommaso Sione. However, when “cruel speculation” began to circulate that family members may have been involved, she was “glad people saw what was coming to our doorstep”. She said the conjecture would never make sense to her.
She defended her family, saying: “No one took better care of my mom than my sister and brother-in-law. And no one took better care of my mom than my brother.”
