Nancy Guthrie update: ‘Investigator’ flags strange movements near kidnapped woman’s home – ‘black SUV, people in camo’
A self-styled investigator flagged strange movements near Nancy Guthrie’s home in Catalina Foothills, near Tucson, Arizona. This comes amid an ongoing search for the kidnapped 84-year-old.
The mother of TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie was reported missing on February 1. Authorities believe she was taken the night before. It has been over six months and no major break in the case has been made public yet. While the octogenarian remains to be found, no suspect has been named publicly either. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department, which is the lead investigating agency on the case, notified that the Guthrie family members are not suspects in the case.
Despite no major updates, the kidnapping has captured the nation’s attention and recently there was some movement in the neighborhood as the FBI, who are assisting local authorities, returned to check the area around Nancy’s house. An expert reportedly explained that this could be due to the likelihood of changes to the environment amid the monsoon season.
With focus again shifting to Nancy Guthrie’s neighborhood, self-styled investigator Jonathan Lee Riches or JLR, headed there and posted about strange movements in the area.
What JLR said about Nancy Guthrie’s neighborhood
JLR first noted there was a ‘black SUV’ in the alleyway behind Nancy Guthrie’s home. “Multiple people walking around. FBI was searching here last week,” the self-styled investigator added. He also added a photo of the vehicle.
The self-styled investigator also shared a map of the octogenarian’s home. A finger emoticon was placed to point to the area where the alleged movement was seen.
JLR noted that there were people in ‘camo pants’ and ‘gear’ in the back of Nancy Guthrie’s home. “I seen 2 black SUV’s parked in the alley here.”
It remains unclear who the people were or who the vehicles belonged to. HT.com could not independently verify this information.
Shocking discovery near Annie, Tommaso’s place
JLR’s observations come after a streamer made a shocking discovery near Annie Guthrie and Tommaso Cioni’s home. ‘Bed sheets and a tarp’ with ‘bad odors’ were reportedly found in a wash off Ternero Street, where Nancy’s daughter and son-in-law live. However, there’s no indication that this discovery is tied to the ongoing investigation.
No official statement has come from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and it is not known if the streamer flagged the finding to authorities either.
