while searching Guthrie Moving on, former detective Chris McDonough chose to focus on the period after she was reported missing when discussing the case on his show The Interview Room. The discussion aimed to explore whether Today show host Guthrie’s daughter Savannahreceived the wrong message from her sister, Anne.

Savannah and Annie discussed on the show

A spokesperson on the show noted that Savannah said she had called the hospital, while also saying Annie also called them. The spokesman pointed out the futility of this action and commented: “Why did Savannah call the hospital again if Annie had already done this?”.

Another speaker on the show noted that “we don’t know if the information she provided was accurate.” He added, “Where did she get the information that her wallet was there, that her phone was there? What she said was just an assumption based on – we assume – information provided by Anne.”

He also objected to the use of the word “chaos” to describe the situation following Guthrie’s disappearance. Another speaker on the show expressed doubts about how Anne remembered the event. Dr. Gary Brucato, co-founder of the Cold Case Foundation, said witnesses often remember things differently at a crime scene and at trial. The person added that when people remember things, they often do so in a much calmer way than how they acted at the time. The Cold Case Foundation is “dedicated to stopping the deadly compounding effects of cold cases and providing hope and resources to families impacted by violent crime,” according to its LinkedIn profile.

Before this discussion, they played a clip of Savannah talking about Guthrie’s disappearance. The “Today” show host was talking to her colleague Hoda Kotb and mentioned her interaction with Annie when she called to inform Savannah about her mother’s disappearance. Savannah noted that they all “went into a panic” and when NBC employees asked her sister to call 911, she said she had already done so.

“Annie and Tommy called all the hospitals,” Savannah added, referring to her sister and brother-in-law, Tommaso Sione. However, Savannah can be heard in the video saying she doesn’t believe it and wants to call the hospital herself again.

It’s worth noting that the discussion surrounding Annie and Savannah in “The Interview Room” takes place amid public scrutiny of Annie and Sione. The two have been in the public eye since reports surfaced that Guthrie had dinner with Anne and that Sioney gave her a ride home. Former NewsNation reporter Ashleigh Banfield reported that Cione was a possible suspect in the case, which sparked initial interest. However, in the days since, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department has made it clear that no member of the Guthrie family is a suspect in the case.

Meanwhile, Savannah also defended Annie and Sione, saying they loved Guthrie very much and dismissed all speculation about the duo allegedly living near Guthrie’s residence.
