The news was later rescinded by law enforcement, and Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos later clarified that no members of the Guthrie family were suspects in the case.
However, public speculation about Jonny and his wife, Anne GuthrieThe night before she was reported missing, the octogenarian had dinner with her daughter, who reportedly lived nearby. Sione reportedly then walked her home and they were among the last people to see her before she disappeared.
The new video was shared by former FBI agent Jennifer Coffendaver, who shares her expert opinion on the case.
The video shows one person saying they were just “filming the roads” when asked about their activities, before the person then goes on to say “I’ll leave”. The man can be heard saying that it was Jonny and that this was the “first time” they had seen and spoken to him.
Notably, Cione’s words are not heard in the video, but the former FBI agent noted that Guthrie’s son-in-law said “please leave me alone…” Several YouTube detectives and content creators have come to Tucson and set up base near Guthrie and Sione’s home to film content about the kidnapping.
Sione reacted after Anne and he were given the all-clear by police, and the last item – which was their vehicle – was reportedly returned to them. Speculation was rife as to why authorities impounded the car, although they clarified that they needed time to put the car back together after separating it from the evidence. However, recent photos have revealed a blue Honda that appears to belong to Anne and Sione, putting all speculation about them to rest.
Annie, Savannah Polygraph Update
Meanwhile, former SWAT captain Chad Ayers appeared on “The Megyn Kelly Show” and told the host it was time to move on from “Today” host Savannah Guthrie’s brother-in-law and sister.
“About two hours ago, Megyn, I can report from a very, very credible source that the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Office have no leads. No credible suspects. This is coming from someone I trust. They have no credible leads,” the former law enforcement official explain.
The former SWAT captain continued: “I can also report that it was confirmed this morning – and I’m sure we all thought so – that every member of the family passed the polygraph with flying colors.”
Kelly responded: “It’s a lot of information. So what that means is – I don’t know, some people don’t believe in polygraphs, but I do – but if it’s true, then we can move on from the brother-in-law and the sister.”
