An NBC reporter shared the photo and wrote: “Police have closed all entrances to the Costco on Randall Road. Employees appear to have been evacuated to the parking lot and the fire department is behind the Portillo parking lot.”
A CBS reporter also shared photos of the scene.
“Business will certainly not be business as usual at the Algonquin/Mountain Lakes Costco near Algonquin Road and Randall today. After receiving threats, the store has been cleared and authorities are cleaning up the potential hazard,” they wrote.
One person also shared video from the scene, showing a heavy police presence.
“We were on site to evacuate, but were told to leave the lot due to a bomb threat made by an employee,” the person wrote.
