One video showed the person filming what appeared to be driving by, with thick smoke visible on the road.
“It’s just above Huntington, between Myrtle and Ivey,” another commented. The locals were horrified ask “Currently seeing a Trader Joe’s in Monrovia on fire northeast of us, does anyone know where it is?”
Meanwhile, another netizen shared a photo where black smoke could be seen.
“There’s another fire in Monrovia this time,” the person said. On the Pasadena subreddit, locals also tagged the fire and were curious about a series of warehouse fires in the area.
“What’s going on with these warehouse fires these days?! Praying for everyone’s safety,” wrote the Reddit user who originally posted.
Several others also responded to the fire in Monrovia today. “I hope they get it out soon!” one person who saw the video reacted. Sharing the photo, another netizen wrote, “Relaxing and doing aerobics in my backyard Monrovia Old Town after a normal day’s work. Came across a fire. Not sure if it was a high rise building, thank god it wasn’t mine, my thoughts and prayers.”
