The photos have further fueled speculation about whether Mitch McConnell is dead, and people have been looking for something more concrete as evidence of life. Robert Steuer, McConnell’s senior communications adviser, was asked whether a video message should be released in addition to the photo released by his office, even though the senator has been hospitalized since June 14.
