It has 22,000 followers and calls itself a “fashion model.” The page posted a post eight hours ago that read, “Sad news: Thirty minutes ago in Chicago, the family of 86-year-old Chicago Bears legend Mike Ditka made a surprise announcement… See the comments below for the full story.”
However, no stories were posted in the comments below. The earliest rumors may have been on February 26th. A Monsters Of Midway page posted “Sad news: Thirty minutes ago at the Bears, the family of 86-year-old Chicago Bears legend Mike Ditka made the unexpected announcement…”. The post was followed by a link to the website top.topnewssource.com, which recounted Ditka’s health issues. However, the site does not appear to be an established news source, so this information must be treated with corresponding caution.
The posts were later shared online, likely sparking rumors.
Debunking the Mike Ditka Death Hoax
Despite these social media posts, Mike Ditka appears to be alive and well. No mainstream media reported his death. There has also been no statement from his family, representatives or the Chicago Bears. The NFL has not made any comment on the matter.
