Lovebir Singh, Arshdeep Singh: Canada deports two Indians involved in extortion, arson, shooting

Two Indians have been deported by Canadian authorities for their involvement in a range of illegal activities including extortion, threatening the public, arson, shoplifting and more in the country. It’s unclear whether they were related, knew each other or worked for the same gang, but they came to Canada around the same time, a year apart. Their cases are being handled by different police departments.

Police in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, announced that they have deported an extortion suspect and are currently investigating a crime plaguing several areas of the country. Police have released the name and photo of 22-year-old Lovebir Singh and asked for more information about him. Surrey Police said a $250,000 fund has been set up to reward those who provide information leading to charges and convictions in extortion-related cases.

Coming to Canada in 2023

Lovebir Singh, 22, came to Canada in 2023, according to a statement released by the Surrey Police Service. Earlier this year, local authorities identified him as “suspected of being involved in extortion-related criminal activity,” police said. The Canada Border Services Agency learned of and ordered Singh’s deportation following an immigration investigation.“Surrey Police Service has released a photo of a man who has been deported from Canada in the hope that the public will provide information regarding his associates and activities while in Canada,” the statement said. “SPS hopes that the public release of this photo of Lovebir Singh will prompt additional witnesses, victims or colleagues to come forward with relevant information about Lovebir Singh’s activities. Any information provided by members of the public or colleagues can assist police in gathering information about people involved in violent extortion and potential criminal networks. “

Who is Ardeep Singh?

Arshdeep Singh came to Canada as a student in August 2022 and holds a graduate work permit, which is still valid and will expire in Oriel in 2026. Arshdeep was arrested by Edmonton police in November 2025 for shoplifting at a West Edmonton shopping mall.
