Two men have been arrested on suspicion of stabbing 21-year-old student film-maker Finbar Sullivan to death in Primrose Hill earlier this week.The Metropolitan Police said a 27-year-old man was detained on suspicion of murder and a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both men remain in custody.On Tuesday night, police responded to reports of a fight and Sullivan was found suffering from fatal stab wounds and died at the scene. Another man, aged in his 20s, was found nearby with stab wounds that were not life-threatening.
Victim remembered as ‘intelligent and talented’
Sullivan’s father, Christopher, paid an emotional tribute, calling his only son “amazing” and full of hope.“He was the most beautiful, sweetest boy … and he had a very bright future,” he said, adding that his son went to the park just to use the camera he had recently received as a birthday present.Cinematographer Michael Seresin notes that the 21-year-old aspires to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and plans to start a creative business with his father.
Police appeal for information
Detective Inspector Andy Griffin, who is leading the investigation, said police were working “around the clock” to track everyone involved.Police are urging anyone with information or footage to come forward, especially if footage of the incident is circulating online. Patrols have also been increased in and around Primrose Hill as the investigation continues.
