Lily Bova murder: Father of slain Glenview teen shares emotional post, ‘When people treat you wrong, God will restore you’
On the morning of Saturday, March 28, 16-year-old Lilly Bova was shot and killed in the unincorporated suburb of Glenview. illinoisshared a touching post following the death of her daughter. The shooting happened around 11 a.m. at 3600 South Salem Walk in unincorporated Glenview. This apartment is located in the Salem Walk Apartments area.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the teenager holding a gunshot wound. She was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities are seeking a interested persons During filming.
Bova’s father, Anthony Bova, retweeted a message on the Facebook page Scars Of Faith.
“You are God’s girl…never forget that,” the note read. “You are not random, forgotten, or ignored. God knows your name. God has covered you, protected you, and led you through things that were designed to destroy you. You were chosen, set apart, and deeply loved.”
The note also read: “When people treat you wrong, God will restore you. When life knocks you down, God will lift you up. When your heart is heavy, God will hold you up. Walk with confidence. Walk with grace. Walk like a daughter of the King, because this is who you are.”
Anthony Bova speaks out
In Anthony’s memory, his daughter was a little girl who loved to dress up.
“She could do anything. She was interested in everything,” Anthony said, according to CBS News. “She was a good person.”
Bova was learning to drive before his life was cut short. A few weeks ago, her father took her to practice at The Grove in Glenview.
Anthony also posted a video on Facebook in which he looked visibly in pain. A plaster cast can be seen on his injured hand.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is going to be the worst post ever and may be my last,” he said in the video. “My hand was broken because I punched the wall.”
“A young punk in Piper shot my daughter with a gun,” he added.
Bova is a sophomore at Glenbrook South, school district officials said.
