Laura Loomer and Candace Owens feud over Charlie Kirk’s estate: ‘Never claimed to be his close friend’
Laura Loomer and Candace Owens are taking their long-running feud to the next level, this time over the legacy of late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. The latest exchange began after Owens accused Loomer of trying to rewrite Kirk’s history and exaggerate her connection to him. Loomer responded with a lengthy post defending herself and sharing screenshots of messages she said showed she had been in contact with Kirk recently before his death.

In her response, Loomer disputed Owens’ claims that she portrayed herself as one of Kirk’s closest advisers.
“I never claimed to be an adviser to Charlie, nor did I claim to be his close friend,” Loomer wrote.
She said that just weeks before his death, Kirk invited her to Turning Point USA’s headquarters to discuss issues including what she called “woke empire” and concerns about Islamism. To back up her claims, Loomer shared screenshots of what she said was a June 2025 conversation with Kirk.
Loomer also responded to Owens’ claims that Kirk had spoken negatively about her privately. Instead of denying it, she said it didn’t surprise her.
“I don’t care if Charlie talks bad about me to people like you said he did,” Loomer wrote. “People always say bad things about me. I keep going and stay focused.”
She argued that her decision to defend Erica Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s widow, reflected her character even though Kirk may have privately criticized her.

Charlie Kirk’s text messages spark new controversy
Candace Owens’ original post transcended politics and included sharp personal criticism. She accuses Loomer of dishonesty, harassment and trying to reshape public perception of Charlie Kirk after his death. Owens also mocked Loomer’s appearance, calling her “saw-face.”
Loomer dismissed the comments and said they did not bother her. “Also, I don’t care if you call me ‘Saw Face.’ Your attacks on my appearance don’t upset me. It just makes you look belligerent,” she wrote.
