All of this started after several social media users posted about Trump being taken to Walter Reed Hospital. “Speculation is mounting about Donald Trump at Walter Reed Medical Center,” commentator Ed Krasenstein wrote on the X (formerly Twitter) platform.

“Breaking News: The White House has announced a pause, meaning President Trump is not expected to appear in public for the remainder of the day,” forecasting and betting platform Polymarket tweeted:
Communications Director Steven Chang did not directly respond to the rumors, but emphasized: “There has never been a president who has worked harder for the American people than President Trump. He has been working non-stop in the White House and the Oval Office this Easter weekend. God bless him.”
Meanwhile, The Hill’s White House correspondent Julia Manchester reported on Twitter the scene outside the West Wing.
“There are Marine Corps sentries outside the West Wing doors. That means the president is in the Oval Office,” she said.
It’s a longstanding White House tradition and a clear signal that has been used for decades. When uniformed U.S. Marine sentries (usually dressed in blue) stand outside the north entrance to the West Wing lobby, it traditionally means the president is actually in the Oval Office (or at least actively working in the West Wing).
When the president leaves the West Wing, even briefly, Marines walk in or step out.

The 79-year-old Trump’s health continues to draw public attention during his second term, with recent appearances prompting new scrutiny. Despite the government’s explanation, visible bruising on his hands and swelling in his legs raised questions.
In January, Trump attributed the bruises to his regular use of aspirin, while the White House also noted that he banged his hand on a table while traveling.
