Kyle Loftis, the founder of 1320Video, died Tuesday night, the company confirmed. The drag racing content creator founded the platform in 2003 and has inspired the likes of Cleetus McFarland (aka Garrett Mitchell). He often shares photos of street racers on his channel, which has nearly 3 million Instagram followers and nearly 4 million YouTube subscribers.

1320Video released a statement on Wednesday. “It is with great sadness that we share that Kyle Loftis, founder of 1320 Video, passed away last night. We are devastated. Kyle’s passion for motorsports inspired millions around the world and we will never forget all he did to grow the sport we love. Kyle was a light at every gathering… His enthusiasm, kindness and creativity were contagious.”
The cause of death has not yet been announced.
Cletus MacFarlane makes big move
Hours after Loftis’ death, his protégé Garrett Mitchell, better known as Cletus McFarlane, released a statement. “Devastated by Kyle’s passing. He was the most influential person in my life. We are all devastated. Please pray for his mother and close friends who need it most. Freedom Month has been postponed,” he wrote on Facebook.

Meanwhile, social media users flocked to McFarlane’s latest social media post. He shared a photo of himself in his backyard garden. The caption read: “Guys I’m having a bad morning.”
“Your day is about to get even worse because the news just broke that another good friend of yours, Kyle Loftis, founder of 1320Video.com, passed away at the age of 42. 😔” one fan commented.
“Just heard Kyle 😠misses you, Cletus. This is going to hit hard…” another added.
