Several unconfirmed social media reports claim multiple horses were injured in a stabbing incident at the National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA) show in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Witnesses online said the incident happened in the morning. Some posts also claim a teenager may be involved, but authorities have yet to confirm any details or issue a formal statement on the allegations.
Officials have not independently verified the claims circulating on social media.

One netizen claimed on Facebook, “Oh my god!! Just heard an ad about a 17 year old girl stabbing 3 horses at an NBHA show and slitting the throat of another horse. las vegas. It was a patient who had all the signs of a serial killer. They started with the animal and now take her away forever. . Honestly a death sentence. If those were my horses, I would be furious. “
Another reported, “Wow…what in the world is going on? It’s absolutely heartbreaking to hear that 4 horses at the NBHA were gored, some multiple times, and one had its throat cut. Thankfully, all horses are reportedly recovering. There are reports that a teenager was involved, and it’s all very disturbing to hear that she was messaging people beforehand asking if they were there.”
A third person reported: “My heart breaks for the horses that were stabbed by patients at the NBHA Las Vegas show, they were innocent and had no way to protect themselves. To the horse owners, I can’t even imagine what you are going through. I’d like to reach out to you via message but I’m sure you have a lot on your plate but if you need any help please let me know.”
Another added, “Emily Grace! Spread the name! She stabbed two horses at NBHA Vegas this morning! Then called to say she found a horse running in the aisles! Sick girl! Thank God they will recover! I pray she is never allowed to attend any equestrian events again! She is in detention! Please share.”

National Housing Authority Statement
In an official statement Facebook pageNBHA said: “The 2026 NBHA Pro Select Vegas Super Show, held May 29-31 at South Point Casino in Las Vegas, experienced an isolated incident in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 30, involving an event competitor abusing a limited number of equine athletes.
The situation was immediately coordinated by the National Barrel Horse Association, South Pointe Hotel and Casino security, Metro Police and all parties involved. The individuals involved have been relocated and are in the care of authorities and there is no threat of any kind at this time. Onal Barrel Horse Association
