Booking video released by authorities shows Joseph smiling and having a relaxed conversation with police as he was taken into custody in Arkansas on March 18.
In the video, Joseph can be seen being patted down, searched, and his personal belongings turned over. He was asked to show the soles of his feet to ensure he was not trying to carry any contraband. He was then asked to take off his wedding ring.
According to People, Joseph He appeared relaxed throughout the booking process, at one point joking with a deputy and mentioning his brother’s past legal troubles.
The deputy who searched him asked Joseph if he had been to the detention center before. He smiled and said to the adjutant: “Not here.”

Reports indicate that Joseph’s brother, Josh Duggar, is currently serving a 12-year sentence in a federal prison in Texas, having been convicted of receiving and possessing material showing teenagers engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
