In supporting him, Trump said, “Ken Paxton has been through a lot, in a lot of situations, very unfairly, but he’s a fighter and knows how to win.” He once said that Cornyn “didn’t support me in hard times.”

Paxton’s romance with Laura Olson became the focus of his political and personal life. Paxton divorces wife Angela She previously claimed that her estranged husband committed adultery while noting that the two had been separated since 2024.
