New Delhi: am admi party national convener Arvind Kejriwal visited the national capital Rajghat on Tuesday and conveyed mahatma gandhi. He was accompanied by former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, opposition leader Atishi and other party leaders, who announced a boycott of litigation related to the Delhi excise policy case.Earlier, Kejriwal said on Monday that he would not appear in person or be represented by a lawyer in Delhi High Court proceedings related to the case, alleging bias and conflict of interest. Speaking to reporters, he said he respected the judiciary and the legal system, noting that he had previously obtained relief from the courts. “This is a court matter. We respect the courts and our country’s legal system because the judiciary acquitted us and granted us bail.” Due to some circumstances that have arisen now, I have to do this “non-Sathyagra”. “I have expressed these circumstances in a letter to the judge,” he said, according to news agency PTI.The former Delhi chief minister also cited alleged ideological bias and conflict of interest, alleging the judge’s links with organizations linked to RSS ideology and pointing to the involvement of Solicitor General Tushar Mehta in the case.Earlier, senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia had also written to Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma stating that he would not be represented by any lawyer in the matter. “From my side, too, there will be no lawyers. The future of your children is in the hands of Tushar Mehtaji. In this case, I do not expect justice from you. I have no option but satyagraha,” Sisodia said in the letter, according to party sources.
