However, these claims are untrue. Katy Perry is wearing a different outfit than in the video. Gronk also fact-checked the claims as many began to express concerns about the singer’s health. “She’s fine. In fact, the alleged video of Perry setting himself on fire is an old video that circulated on social media about a month ago. A page on Facebook shared the video, writing, “Purported behind-the-scenes footage from Katy Perry’s ‘WATCH IT BURN’ music video.”

So the viral rumors about Katy Perry setting herself on fire are false. The star opted for a white gown with space mask type accessories at the Met Gala, and photos were shared online.
