Kash Patel and Chris Nanos: What did the FBI director say?

Patel said the FBI was “cut out of the investigation” and his team prepared hundreds of agents, resources and a plane in Tucson to fly DNA from Nancy’s home to Quantico for rapid analysis, but Nanos stopped them and opted for a private lab in Florida.

Program broadcast on Tuesday, May 5 Hanging out with Sean HannityPatel sat down with Hannity to discuss the case.

“In the Nancy Guthrie case, I’m frustrated,” Hannity said at one point. “Because I’m hearing from sources that they’re trying to shut you out.”

“They did,” Patel confirmed. “The first 48 hours of anyone’s disappearance are the most critical. Here’s how these cases are handled: This is a state matter. This is a state and local law enforcement matter. What we at the FBI do is say, ‘Hey, we’re here to help. What do you need? What can we do?'”

He added, “For four days, we were excluded from the investigation. When we were finally allowed in, Sean, look what we did. We went in and rang the doorbell.”

Patel claimed that he called Google leadership and told them that Nancy did not have a subscription service to capture all the video data. He asked if he could view the cached data before deleting it.

“That’s why you have this image,” Patel noted, citing stills and video footage of “Porch Guys.” “Because the FBI collaborated with Google to release this image.”

“We could have gotten this data days ago. If we had gone in earlier, we might have gotten more data,” he added.

Patel later said that even though the bureau offered to process the DNA evidence in Nancy’s case, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department first sent it to a laboratory in Florida for processing.

“For this case, I sent hundreds of agents and intelligence officers to Phoenix and Tucson just to be on standby, just to canvass,” Patel said. “I said, ‘We’ll take the DNA.’ Again, it’s a state and local thing, so they decide where to send the DNA.

Hannity said it was a “terrible decision,” to which Patel responded: “Well, that’s for the American public to decide.”

He added, “All we can do is continue to provide support. We’ll analyze it in a few days and maybe get better information or more information. Our lab is better than any other private lab. And we don’t have the opportunity to do that, so I understand everyone’s frustration.”
