The Dallas Cowboys have made a big move for star running back Javonte Williams. On Saturday, it was revealed that Jerry Jones and Co. have agreed to a three-year, $24 million deal to retain the 25-year-old. Williams had a strong first season in Dallas, rushing for 1,201 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also had 35 receptions for 137 yards and two receiving touchdowns.
Williams is also guaranteed $16 million, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
“Sources say the #Cowboys and standout RB Javonte Williams have agreed to a 3-year deal worth $24M. Dallas retains a big-name player. He’s making $8M per year following a breakout season for @KlutchSports’ @AgentNicoleLynn,” Rapoport wrote on the X (formerly Twitter) platform.
