Nancy Guthrie Case Update: Social media commentators are discussing new claims about the disappearance of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie’s mother. Citing doorbell camera footage from 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie’s Tucson home, several Internet sleuths claimed they had found the suspect in her kidnapping. Popular YouTuber Max Vault said in a video posted on Friday that the kidnapper could be Lucas Daley,

Meanwhile, the search for Guthrie enters its third week. No suspects have been identified in the case, despite media reports of the ransom being received.
Lucas Daly claims
Max Vault said in his video that Daley’s girlfriend, Kayla Day, is related to the Guthrie family. “Her mother is a Guthrie,” the YouTuber said while playing surveillance video released by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. “The other person you see is Lucas Dal,y who I believe was standing on Nancy Guthrie’s front porch and I believe he was involved in her abduction.”
“I’m not going to make any assumptions about him, but once you see the photo, it’s like they unmasked the killer and he had some connection to the family. And the nose line, the nose. Yeah. The nose, the eyes, the blindfold thing is important.”
“We found pictures of Daley, you know, not everyone is dressed like this. And there’s a tattoo, if you can see me. I don’t know if you can see, but he has a tattoo on his right forearm, the same tattoo I have here. If you can see.”
At this time, HT.com cannot confirm these claims. As we previously reported, authorities have not identified a suspect in the case.
Luke Daley responds to being detained
Meanwhile, Daley, a convicted felon, responded to the charges after he was taken into custody with his mother during a SWAT raid. The 37-year-old released a statement on Thursday. His attorney, Chris Scileppi, said: “Both Mr. Dailey and his mother were detained by law enforcement during the execution of the search warrant. Neither Mr. Dailey nor his mother have been arrested in connection with this or any other case.”
“He has no contact with Nancy Guthrie and no information related to her abduction. Like the entire Tucson community, Mr. Daley and his mother are hopeful that Nancy will be returned to her family unharmed,” Scileppi further told 12 News.
